Like other IRWIN hammer drill bits, the IRWIN 322026 SDS-Plus 3/8" x 10" x 12" hammer drill bit incorporates a patented new flute design that removes dust more efficiently for faster drilling and longer bit life. The carbide tip design, also patented by IRWIN, offers the optimum combination of speed and centering for more accurate holes. The Chrome Vanadium spring steel shaft is hardened to 50-53HrC to extend the life of the bit. The reduced shank above the flute allows dust to escape in deep drilling applications, so the full length of the bit can be used. Better dust removal reduces binding for faster, more efficient drilling. Made to ANSI specifications, these innovative bits will set new industry standards.
