It is a thick rubber like membrane that is extremely flexible and durable that does not require a protection coat, and can withstand backfill, UV rays, freeze/thaw, salt, and other abrasive substances. It is the main functioning coat in THE BG2000 SYSTEM, THE BG2000 UL SYSTEM, and can be used to coat concrete vaults, and many other types of structures.
